Welcome to St Brigid's Catholic School

Principal Mr Kelly with students

St Brigid's Catholic School is a co-educational school catering for students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 in the semi-rural community of New Norfolk. Situated on the banks of the Derwent River, the three-hectare site provides ample space for your child to engage in a range of learning activities both within and outside the classroom.

Shaped by the charisms of our founding order, the Sisters of Charity, St Brigid’s has been providing a Catholic education for students in the Derwent Valley since 1926. We are committed to providing your child with a nurturing Catholic learning community supported by an atmosphere of compassion, honesty, tolerance, and cooperation.

At St Brigid’s we aim to encourage your child to strive for personal excellence through providing a well-balanced curriculum. Our staff acknowledge the needs of each student to develop their self-confidence, self-esteem, and respect for others. We guide each student in his/her discovery of a Christian way of living within the family of God.
